1.Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at https://sq1.security, together with its subdomains and all content, resources, forms, and features made available through it (collectively, the "Site").
The Site is operated by the SQ1 Security group of companies ("SQ1", "we", "us", "our"):

The SQ1 entity that is party to these Terms, and the law governing them, depends on the region from which you access the Site.

References to "SQ1", "we", "us" and "our" in these Terms mean your contracting entity, and, where the context requires (including Sections 7, 15, and 16), the wider SQ1 Security group. The corresponding governing law and jurisdiction for each region are set out in Section 20.
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Site.
2.Eligibility
The Site is intended for business users.
By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and, where you act on behalf of an organisation, that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3.Relationship to other agreements
The Site is an informational and marketing resource. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our products or services.
Access to and use of Scani5, Stakflo, Udaxo, and our cybersecurity and compliance services are governed by separate written agreements, which may include a Master Services Agreement (MSA), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Agreement, subscription agreement, Statement of Work (SOW), Rules of Engagement for testing services, End User Licence Agreement (EULA), evaluation or trial agreement, or Data Processing Addendum (collectively, the "Customer Agreements").
If there is any conflict between these Terms and a Customer Agreement, the Customer Agreement will prevail with respect to the products or services it governs.
4.Licence to use the Site
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use the Site solely for your internal business and informational purposes.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
You may not use the Site for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
5.Acceptable use
You agree that you will not, and will not permit any other person to:
General
- Use the Site in breach of any applicable law or regulation, or for any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or harmful purpose.
- Infringe our intellectual property rights or those of any third party.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Submit false, misleading or another person's information through any form on the Site.
- Use the Site to transmit unsolicited commercial communications, chain letters, or spam.
- Harvest, scrape or collect information about other users, or extract data from the Site by automated means, except that we permit legitimate search engine crawlers operating in accordance with our robots.txt.
- Use the Site to develop a competing product or service, or to benchmark it for a competitor.
- Remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice.
Security-specific restrictions
Because of the nature of our business, we draw particular attention to the following. You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, our servers, networks, systems, accounts or any data, or to any system connected to the Site.
- Conduct any vulnerability scan, port scan, penetration test, fuzzing, brute-force attack, denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) test, social engineering exercise, phishing exercise, or any other form of security testing against the Site or our infrastructure, unless expressly authorised in writing by SQ1 or conducted in accordance with our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy.
- Introduce or attempt to introduce any virus, worm, trojan, ransomware, logic bomb, keystroke logger, malicious code or other harmful material.
- Circumvent, disable or interfere with any security, authentication or rate-limiting feature of the Site.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Site, or attempt to derive its source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Impose an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure or otherwise interfere with the proper working of the Site.
We reserve the right to investigate, monitor, and take action against any conduct we reasonably believe breaches this Section, including blocking access, preserving evidence, notifying law enforcement and pursuing civil remedies.
6.Responsible vulnerability disclosure
If you believe you have discovered a security vulnerability in the Site or any SQ1 product or service, please report it to [email protected] rather than disclosing it publicly.
We are committed to acknowledging good-faith reports, investigating them promptly, and not pursuing legal action against security researchers who act in good faith and in accordance with our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy.
7.Intellectual property
The Site and all content made available on it, including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, video, software, page layouts, designs, and the selection and arrangement of content, are owned by or licensed to SQ1 and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, database, and other intellectual property laws.
SQ1, SQ1 Security, Scani5, Stakflo, Udaxo and the associated logos and product names are trademarks of SQ1. You may not use them without our prior written permission. All other trademarks appearing on the Site are the property of their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply any endorsement by, or affiliation with, SQ1.
Customer logos displayed on the Site are used with permission and remain the property of the respective organisations.
8.Your submissions and feedback
If you submit content to us through the Site, including enquiries, comments, job applications, or materials shared in connection with a demonstration, you represent and warrant that you have the right to do so, and that such content does not infringe the rights of any third party or contain unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable material.
Feedback
If you provide us with suggestions, ideas, comments, or feedback relating to the Site, our products, or our services, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, and otherwise exploit that feedback for any purpose without any obligation or compensation to you. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you waive any moral rights you may have in such feedback.
Confidentiality
Please do not submit confidential or proprietary information through the public forms available on the Site. Information submitted through the Site is not treated as confidential unless it is covered by a separate written non-disclosure or customer agreement.
9.Careers and job applications
Information submitted through our careers pages is used solely to assess your application, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Submitting a job application does not create an employment relationship, guarantee an interview, or impose any obligation on SQ1 to consider, respond to, or offer employment in relation to your application.
We do not accept unsolicited candidate submissions from recruitment agencies, and any such submission will be treated as unsolicited with no fee or other obligation unless a written agency agreement is in place.
10.Informational content — no professional advice or warranty of outcome
Our blogs, news, threat intelligence, research, whitepapers, checklists, compliance content and similar resources are provided for general information only.
- They do not constitute legal, regulatory, compliance, financial or professional advice, and must not be relied upon as such.
- Regulatory and compliance-related content, including material relating to GDPR, CCPA, DPDP, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA and other frameworks, reflects our general understanding at the time of writing and may not be current or applicable to your circumstances. You should obtain independent professional advice before acting on it.
- Nothing on the Site guarantees that your organisation will achieve compliance with any law, regulation, or framework, prevent any cyberattack, eliminate all security risks, or avoid any loss, liability, or regulatory action.
- Any statistics, benchmarks, research findings, performance figures, or illustrative examples presented on the Site are provided for general informational purposes only and should not be interpreted as guarantees of future performance or outcomes.
11.Demos, trials and evaluations
Where we provide a demonstration, proof of concept (PoC), evaluation or trial, it is provided on the terms of the relevant Customer Agreement or evaluation agreement. In the absence of such an agreement, it is provided "as is", without warranty, for evaluation only, and we may withdraw or modify it at any time. Any data you provide during an evaluation is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and the applicable agreement.
12.Third-party links and content
The Site contains links to third-party websites, including LinkedIn, X, Instagram and YouTube. We provide these for convenience only. We do not control, endorse or accept responsibility for third-party sites, their content, products, services or privacy practices. Accessing them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
13.Availability of the Site
We aim to keep the Site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
We may suspend, withdraw, modify or discontinue all or part of the Site at any time without prior notice, for maintenance, security, commercial or other reasons.
You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary to access the Site and for ensuring that anyone accessing it through your connection is aware of and complies with these Terms.
14.Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties, conditions or representations of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory.
- We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy and non-infringement.
- We do not warrant that the Site or its content is accurate, complete, current, reliable, uninterrupted, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
- We do not warrant that the Site will meet your requirements or that any defect will be corrected.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
15.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

SQ1, its group companies, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, licensors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, contracts, anticipated savings, goodwill, reputation, data, or loss of use of data, arising out of or in connection with your access to, use of, or inability to use the Site, whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or any other legal theory, even if SQ1 has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
15.2
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Site and these Terms will not exceed the greater of:
- The total amount you have paid us for access to the Site, if any.
- USD 100 where your contracting entity is SQ1 Security Infotech, Inc.
- GBP 100 where your contracting entity is SQ1 Security UK Private Limited.
- INR 10,000 where your contracting entity is SQ1 Security Technology Pvt Ltd.
15.3
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the United Kingdom and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 in India.
15.4
These limitations do not apply to liability arising under a Customer Agreement, which contains its own liability provisions.
16.Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SQ1, its group companies, and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your breach of these Terms.
- Your misuse of the Site.
- Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
- Any content you submit through the Site.
18.Export control, sanctions and lawful use of security technology
Our products, services, technical documentation, and related materials may be subject to applicable export control and sanctions laws, including the United States Export Administration Regulations (EAR), sanctions administered by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), UK export control legislation, European Union dual-use regulations, and India's export control framework.
By accessing or using the Site, you represent and warrant that:
- You are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or organised under the laws of, any country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions.
- You are not a person listed on any applicable restricted or denied party list, and are not owned or controlled by such a person.
- You will not access, download or use the Site or any material from it in violation of applicable export control or sanctions laws.
- You will not use any information, technique or material obtained from the Site to develop, deploy or facilitate any unlawful intrusion, surveillance, interception, malware or offensive cyber capability.
19.Term and termination
These Terms apply while you use the Site.
We may terminate or suspend your access at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or that termination is necessary to protect the Site, our users or our business.
Sections 7, 8, 10, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, and 21 shall survive any termination or expiration of these Terms.
20.Governing law and jurisdiction
20.1
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the law set out below according to the region from which you access the Site, without regard to conflict of laws principles. The courts identified below have exclusive jurisdiction.

20.2
The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply to these Terms.
20.3
Nothing in this Section limits or excludes any mandatory consumer protection rights, or any right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, that is available to you under the law of that country and cannot lawfully be excluded or varied by agreement. Data subjects and Data Principals retain the right to complain to their local supervisory authority or regulator as described in our Privacy Policy, regardless of this Section.
20.4
Where a dispute falls within the scope of a Customer Agreement, the governing law and dispute resolution provisions of that Customer Agreement prevail over this Section.
21.General
- Entire agreement : These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the Site, and supersede all prior understandings.
- Severability : If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, or severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
- No waiver : Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment : You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms to a group company or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
- No partnership or agency : Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment or agency relationship.
- Force majeure: We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Third party rights : Except for our group companies and the indemnified parties named in Section 16, no person other than you and us has any right to enforce these Terms.
- Notices : Notices to us should be sent to the address in Section 23. We may give notice to you by posting on the Site or by email to any address you have provided.
22.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on the Site and will display the updated Last Updated date.
Where changes are material, we will provide notice by posting a prominent announcement on the Site before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those revised Terms.
