1.About this Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how SQ1 Security ("SQ1", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, https://sq1.security, and its subdomains (collectively, the "Site"). It also explains the choices available to you and how you can manage your cookie preferences.
This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, available at Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data. It should also be read alongside our Terms of Use, available at Terms of Use,.
This Cookie Policy applies only to the Site. Cookies and similar technologies used within our products, including Scani5, Stackflo, and Udaxo, are described in the relevant product documentation and governed by the applicable customer agreement. In those contexts, SQ1 Security generally acts as a data processor on behalf of its customers.
2.What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. Cookies enable a website to recognise your device, remember your preferences and understand how the Site is being used. :
- First-party cookies are set by the website you are visiting (in our case, sq1.security). ;
- Third-party cookies are set by a different domain, such as an analytics or video provider;
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.;
- Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them;
We also use, or may use, other technologies that perform similar functions:

Unless stated otherwise, references to "cookies" in this Cookie Policy include the technologies described above where they perform similar functions.
3.Your choices, and how they differ by region
The rules governing cookies are not the same everywhere, so what happens when you arrive on our Site depends on where you are.
3.1 European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom and Switzerland
- We set only strictly necessary cookies before you make a choice. All other cookies — including analytics cookies — are set only after you give consent through our cookie banner.
- You can accept all, reject all, or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and rejecting non-essential cookies does not restrict your access to the Site or degrade the content available to you. You may change or withdraw your choice at any time via the Cookie Settings link in our footer, with the same ease as giving it.
- Our use of cookies in these regions is governed by Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC), as implemented by applicable national laws, including the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (PECR). Where cookies involve the processing of personal data, the GDPR or UK GDPR also applies.
3.2 India
We set only strictly necessary cookies before you make a choice. Analytics and other non-essential cookies are set only with your consent, obtained through our cookie banner on the basis of a clear, plain-language notice, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025.
- You may withdraw consent at any time via Cookie Settings, with the same ease as giving it. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
- We do not knowingly use cookies or similar technologies to track or profile children, nor do we direct behavioural advertising at children.
3.3 United States
- We rely on an opt-out model for non-essential cookies where permitted by state law. You can opt out at any time via Cookie Settings.
- We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If your browser or extension transmits a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of non-essential cookies for that browser. Because GPC operates on a browser- and device-specific basis, you must enable it separately on each browser and device you use.
- As explained in Section 5 of this Cookie Policy and in our Privacy Policy, we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Accordingly, there is no advertising-related opt-out for you to exercise.
3.4 Other Regions
For visitors accessing the Site from jurisdictions not specifically addressed above, we apply the consent model described in Section 3.1 by default because we prefer to apply a higher privacy standard wherever practicable.

5.What we do not use
We think this is worth stating plainly:
- We do not use advertising or targeted advertising cookies.
- We do not place third-party advertising pixels or tags on the Site, including advertising and remarketing tags from social and search platforms.
- We do not use cookies for cross-context behavioural advertising or to build advertising profiles about you.
- We do not sell the data collected through cookies, and we do not disclose it to data brokers, advertising networks or ad-tech intermediaries.
- We do not use cookie walls. Access to the Site is not conditional on accepting non-essential cookies.
Our analytics providers act as our processors and service providers. They are contractually prohibited from using data collected on our Site for their own purposes, for advertising, or for building cross-site profiles.

8.Consent records and how long your choice lasts
Where we rely on your consent, we maintain a record of your cookie preferences, including the categories of cookies accepted or rejected, the version of the cookie banner presented, and the date and time your consent was provided or updated. These records are maintained solely for the purpose of demonstrating compliance with applicable privacy laws and honouring your preferences.
Your cookie preference is stored in the sq1_cookies_consent cookie for 6 months. After this period, or if we make material changes to the cookies we use or this Cookie Policy, you will be asked to review and confirm your preferences again. You may update or withdraw your consent at any time through the Cookie Settings link available in the footer of our Site. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal.
9.Do Not Track
Some web browsers offer a Do Not Track (DNT) setting that allows users to indicate a preference not to be tracked across websites. There is currently no universally accepted industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, and we do not currently respond to them.
However, we do honour valid Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, which are a recognised privacy standard, as described in Section 3.3.
10.Personal data and cookies
Some cookie data — such as identifiers and IP addresses — is personal data. Where that is the case, our handling of it is governed by our Privacy Policy, including the sections on international transfers, retention, security, and your rights to access, correct, delete and object.
Cookie consent and privacy rights are separate. Withdrawing cookie consent stops future cookie-based collection; it does not by itself delete data already collected. To exercise deletion or other rights, use the contacts in our Privacy Policy.
11.Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use, or in law or guidance. The current version will always be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Where we introduce new non-essential cookies, we will obtain fresh consent before setting them.
